2024-2025 Institute Fall Term Calendar

Things to be Sent by the Academic Board Decision:

Assignment of advisors for students who have registered for the fall semester (until September 4, 2024),
Determination of undergraduate and, if any, graduate courses to be taken by students who will be subject to the Scientific Preparation Program among students who have registered for the fall semester (until September 4, 2024),
Definition of the courses to be given by the Faculty Members who will be assigned to teach and provide consultancy in your Department according to Article 40/a of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 (Assignment of Faculty Members to be assigned to the Nursing Department as all sub-programs) (until September 4, 2024),
Evaluation of the thesis proposals of students who have completed the course period (7 courses + Seminar) for thesis-based Master`s programs and notification of those deemed appropriate by EABDK. Scanned copies of the Thesis Proposal forms and Thesis Data Entry forms, each with wet signatures, should be included in the annex of the relevant board decision, and the original documents should be submitted to the Institute by the advisor or the student. (Until September 05, 2024), For non-thesis Master`s programs, Term Project Forms of students in their 2nd or 3rd term should be listed in word format and sent to the Institute with the Department Board Decision (Until September 05, 2024),
Notification of students whose thesis topic change requests are deemed appropriate. Thesis Topic/Name Change forms and new Thesis Proposal forms should be attached to the Board decision, with wet signatures and/or scanned copies. Original documents should be delivered to the Institute by the advisor or student. (Until September 30, 2024) The updated Thesis Data Entry Form should be delivered to the Institute by the advisor or student within 1 week following the notification of the relevant EYK decision to you. Informing us of students who want to take courses from our Institute as guest students in the fall semester and the courses they will take (until September 20, 2024),
Determining students who want to take courses from other Institutes in the fall semester and the courses they will take (until September 30, 2024),
Informing us of registration freeze requests (until October 11, 2024),
Sending us the EABDK meeting minutes regarding students whose advisor change requests are deemed appropriate, with a scanned copy of the form attached (until September 30, 2024).
Making credit transfer requests considering the issues in Article 12 of the Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation (until September 14, 2024).
In the spring semester of 2023-2024, students who transferred from the thesis program to the non-thesis program and received 1 semester additional time to complete 10 courses and a term project, and who meet the requirement to graduate from the non-thesis master`s program, should be notified of their graduation along with their course exemptions (until September 23, 2024),

In the spring semester of 2023-2024, students who transferred from the thesis program to the non-thesis program and received 1 semester additional time to complete 10 courses and a term project, and those who fail to meet the requirement to graduate from the non-thesis master`s program should be notified of their termination (until September 23, 2024).

Points to Consider:
Since course registration will be made between September 16-19, 2024;

The courses should be opened, the course should be divided into branches, the branch quota and the faculty members should be defined and the course schedules should be created by the Department Heads via e-campus until September 13, 2024.
Advisors must approve course registrations between September 16-22, 2024, and while approving course registrations, it must be ensured that the courses to be taken by students do not exceed 45 ECTS, in accordance with Article 11, paragraph 2 of the Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation.

Thesis Master`s students who have completed their second term but have not completed the course period, but whose Thesis Proposal has been determined, should not have their advisors select the "Thesis Study" course before the end of the course period.

Thesis Master`s students who have completed the course period but have not submitted a thesis proposal should not have their advisors select the "Thesis Study" course.
Thesis Master`s students who have completed the course period and submitted a thesis proposal and PhD students whose thesis proposals are accepted in the Thesis Proposal Defense Exam should have their "Thesis Study" and "Specialization Field Course" selected every term until graduation.

Students who take the Thesis Defense Exam in the spring term and receive corrections must defend their thesis before the same jury within 3 months from the exam date, as per the regulation. When determining the exam date and jury members, it should be stated in the Academic Board Decision that the student has previously received corrections. Students who will take the defense after the fall semester course registrations are obliged to pay the tuition fee and register for the course.

Entry of grades for the Midterm Exams between January 6-20, 2025 and entry of grades for the Supplemental Exams between January 27 - February 2, 2025 must be made by the Instructors.
